ABOUT RADIESSE
Radiesse is a calcium hydroxylapatite-based dermal filler that not only provides immediate volume but also stimulates the body’s natural collagen production over time. It's often used to treat deeper wrinkles and folds, such as nasolabial folds, and to add volume to areas like the cheeks and hands.
Radiesse works by injecting tiny calcium microspheres into the skin, which provide immediate volume and structure. Over time, these microspheres stimulate collagen production, which helps to maintain the results long after the initial volume has been absorbed by the body.
UNIQUE COMPOSITION
Calcium hydroxylapatite, or CaHA, is what makes Radiesse unique as a dermal filler treatment.
IMMEDIATE + LONG-TERM REJUVENATION
Upon injection, the CaHA gel matrix provides immediate improvement. Long term, CaHA particles form a “scaffold” that stimulates fibroblasts to produce collagen for up to a year and elastin for up to nine months.
RENEWED SKIN STRUCTURE
As the gel carrier breaks down, a firm network of collagen fibers form. Then, the formed collagen and elastin replaces the correction provided by the gel carrier, smoothing lines and promoting renewed skin structure.
Getting ready for your Radiesse Appointment
WHAT TO EXPECT AT YOUR RADIESSE APPOINTMENT
After discussing your personal aesthetic goals and determining a treatment plan, Linda will administer small injections into targeted areas. The injections typically take about 15 minutes or less, with minimal discomfort.
WHAT TO DO AFTER YOUR RADIESSE APPOINTMENT
There is no downtime, so you can resume normal activities immediately after. To help aid recovery and optimize results following your Radiesse treatment, make sure you stay hydrated and avoid strenuous exercise or sun exposure.
RADIESSE MAINTENANCE AND NEXT STEPS
Follow-up treatments and maintenance sessions are typically recommended every 12 to 18 months, depending on individual response and the area treated.
Radiesse is an FDA-approved dermal filler designe to smooth moderate to severe facial wrinkles and folds, such as nasolabial folds (the creases that extend from the corner of your nose to the corner of your mouth). Radiesse is also used for correcting volume loss in the back of the hands.
Radiesse is often used to treat deeper wrinkles and folds in the lower face, such as nasolabial folds (smile lines), oral commissures (corners of the mouth), marionette lines, pre-jowl folds, chin wrinkles, as well as the jaw line -- and to add volume to areas like the cheeks and hands.
Immediately upon injection, Radiesse helps smooth out lines and wrinkles. The natural-looking results last a year or more in many patients.
Common side effects of Radiesse include bruising, redness, swelling, pain, and itching at the site of injection. For a more comprehensive list of side effects for Radiesse, refer to the patient information guides found here.

WHAT IS HYPERDILUTE RADIESSE?
Hyperdilute Radiesse is a specialized treatment that involves modifying Radiesse with saline and lidocaine to create a thinner, more spreadable solution. This modified form is used for more extensive skin rejuvenation and tightening, rather than just adding volume. When injected, hyperdilute Radiesse works by stimulating collagen production throughout larger areas, improving skin texture, firmness, and elasticity.
It’s often used on areas like the neck, décolletage, upper arms, and buttocks to provide a subtle, natural-looking lift and enhance overall skin quality.
